Top CLEANSING Balms For Facial Massage

For those who have been following me for a while you know that a cleansing balm is a must in my skincare kit! Unlike traditional cleansers, cleansing balms are typically oil-based, which means they are incredibly effective at breaking down stubborn makeup and impurities without stripping the skin of its natural oils.

I love to use a cleansing balm as the first step in my skincare routine and it is the perfect opportunity to incorporate facial massage when you are short on time. Here is my step by step guide to using a cleansing balm:

  1. Start by applying a small amount of balm to dry skin and massage it in.

  2. If you are removing makeup focus on these areas first, you will notice that the balm will melt into an oil or light milk and dissolve your makeup and impurities with ease.

  3. Once you have fully cleansed your face use warm water and a face cloth to remove the makeup and balm from your skin.

  4. If you want to incorporate facial massage at this stage go in with another dose of balm onto clean skin and practice some facial massage moves using the balm to glide your fingers across your face. (Head over to my instagram to learn some Facial Massage Moves)

  5. rinse any remaining balm off with warm water and a face cloth and continue with your skincare routine.

If you want to try a cleansing balm for yourself Here are 3 cleansing balms that I am loving at the moment:

  1. Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm - A nourishing cleansing balm that melts away makeup, daily pollutants and impurities for a soft and glowing complexion. Its unique blend of 9 essential oils including Lavender, Chamomile and Eucalyptus smell like heaven in a jar to invigorate the senses.
